The image we used for our poster was a close up of another image. That is the top image. It is a screenshot of a video that we were filming for the titles of the trailer. But we really like it when we just saw the shot. We liked how once we zoomed in it appeared a bit out of focus. It helped link it to the ambiguity of the tagline, how everyone has a secret and that at this point, to the audience it is unclear to the secret and the character it belongs to. We had other images that we were choosing between when editing that you can see above. We kept changing the picture to see what we felt linked best to our work. We liked how the branches was a bigger part of the picture as it filled the poster more than the others.
The font we used on our poster all came from Da font. They had a better selection than Photoshop had to offer Fatima. When Fatima create it she wanted to ensure everything looked cohesive and well put together. She used a mixture of the font 'Keep Calm' and 'Big Noodle' for the review, tagline, main body of text the coming soon text. We felt like they were bold enough to be read and seen clearly despite the foggy background. At first when she used the Photoshop font a member of our target audience commented that we should change it as its hard to read, The picture to the right is how it looked like before. We keep the font black throughout as it the colour that best suited our image and theme as well as it being the colour that could be read best.
We used the same font for the title on the poster for the magazine and in our trailer. This links the three of them together. We made the R red as with the magazine cover as it stands for the characters name and lets you see the 'Raven' in 'Depraven'.
